About this project

In this project, we delve into insights extracted from a survey conducted by Alex Freberg on job roles in the field of data analytics.
The survey data, collected from individuals worldwide, provides valuable insights into various aspects of careers in data analytics, including job titles, career transitions, salary trends, job satisfaction, and more.
Through this analysis, we aim to uncover trends and patterns that can inform strategic decision-making for professionals and organizations in the data analytics industry.



Data Transformation:

  • The raw survey data underwent extensive transformation using Power Query in Power BI. Initially, unnecessary columns such as Browser, OS, City, Country, and Referrer were removed to streamline the dataset. Subsequently, the data was cleansed using the split column function to extract relevant information and standardize responses.
    For instance, salary ranges were averaged to provide a clearer understanding of income distribution among respondents.
    Additionally, responses containing 'Other' options were refined to categorize them into predefined options, enhancing data consistency and analysis accuracy.
